It brings me great sadness after hearing that Dr. Maya Angelou passed at the age of 86. She was a phenomenal woman. I could relate to her on so many levels. Her writings and poems touch the lives of millions. That is exactly the way I want to leave this earth. Knowing that I left my mark and touch just as many lives as she did. One of my favorite poems is Still I Rise. Nothing or no one can keep me down I still rise. You may be down and out and feel like the weight of the world is upon your shoulders. Still Rise!!! There is someone one out there that needs you. You might not think that they do and they may never even tell you but they are watching. So I say to you Diamonds, doing give up Arise up out of that depression. Who says you can’t live the life you want ? You can anything you want as long as you put your mind to it. STILL RISE!!!!
Gone but never forgotten Dr. Maya
